Installing Wine From Directory

    I Have Wine On My Flash Disk (media/slash/linux/wine-0.9.41.tar.bz2) But I Don't Know How To Install It Plaese Help!!!

    Extract it using
    Code:
    tar xzf filename
    and then change inside to the directory. Read the README or INSTALL file for more help. Usually its simply ./configure then make then make install.

    What distro do you run? If you run Debian or a derivative (such as *ubuntu), you can follow the directions here to add WINE to your repositories. That way, you can install WINE through your package manager, and additionally, you'll receive updates along with all the rest of your operating system.
