    Hi all,

I have a W520 with a 1x1 11b/g/n Wireless LAN PCI-e half mini card. I purchased an Intel 6300 wifi card with a PCI ID of 8086:1101. In order to pass the BIOS whitelist I need to modify the PCI ID to 8086:1111. I will not alter the BIOS (or have someone else alter it) for two reasons: 1) I don't want to risk bricking my computer, and 2) I want to change the card to be able to recieve future BIOS updates. I have another laptop available without a whitelist, however it has Windows XP (32-bit). I have done reasearch from this site http://www.thinkwiki.org/wiki/Problem_w ... twork_card and it's links. I have also searched the internet on how to alter Intel EEPROM, but without luck. Could someone point me in the right direction? Thanks :)

P.S. This is the hardware ID incase that helps: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_422B&SUBSYS_11018086&REV_35
