Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 or AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ Windsor 3.0GHz this might sound silly and people will lean to their favorit, mine happens to be AMD. but while talking to some fellow local OC'ers they had mentioned that the E6600 might be better. now to clear some things up i liquid cool, wont ever go back to air. and these machines will do most of their work loads in photoshop CS2 and in 3D render applications like blender or poser. I really need insight on the Core 2 Duo E6600 seeing i havent followed intel in like seven years. and which one out stacks the other for my main work loads. thanks
Well, I just got a X2 6000, so if theres a benchmark program you would like me to run and give you the results, just name it. I'm sure someone on this forum has an E6600. I don't have a good video card yet though, so keep that in mind.
if you plan on overclocking your cpu i would be interested in OC and temp ( and cooling system air/water) my major consiren with the E6600 is that when it comes to memory demans is it going bottle neck the works up :S that and the fact they use really high FSB and low CPU MULT. or so it is seeming by the stats i have been reading. i mean i am seeing a FSB of over 1k makes me wonder what the cpu multiplyer is. lol my A64 3500+ has a FSB of 222:dry:
