Intel Core @ Duo core's

    what si the deal with the two diffrent cores for them, and why the rather large price diffrerence between the two.
    merom or conroe what the the better or worse I honestly cant figure it out

    and being that the only core 2 duo computer i have used was a mac ti si a rateher wide gap for comparison

    You'll see the Core 2 Duo shine when you start to multitask. If you're not doing something multi-threading intensive, you won't see much of a difference (although Core 2 Duo's have very impressive performance in that as well).

    What two CPU's are you comparing? Merom is the mobile version of the Core 2 Duo (Conroe).

    yes i was I was wondering the diffrence there I am sorry for that when i typed in the title i put @ instead of 2

    ok so the merom is mobile and the conroe is desktop thats what i wondered about
