just got the e8600 3.33ghz. surprise, oblivion still struggles in towns, thats tweaked with low poly grass etc running on 8800 GTX.

i'm not goin for any major overclock with this one, just a little tweakage.

the default cpu clock ratio and frequency are 10x333.

would setting the multiplier to 400, matching the speed of the ram make the system more stable at 1:1 ratio? thats what i did with my last CPU after following some tutorials. i could set to 9x400 (3.6ghz) or 8x400 and set the fine tuning ratio to 0.4 or something. might as well set ram to 5-5-5-12 or further (geil blackdragon)

everything else is auto and normal etc. the cpu voltage defaults to 1.25000 V

i've disabled limit cpuid max.., cpu enhanced halt, cpu thermal monitor and eist function.

    my system:

mobo: gigabyte ga-p35 dS3R (rev 2.0) latest bios
    gpu: nvidia 8800 GTX 756mb
    ram: 4gb geil black dragon 800MHz CAS4 (3.5gb used)
cpu: intel core 2 duo e8600
    psu: corsair vx 550
cooling: arctic freezer 7 pro with MX-2 thermal paste
os: windows XP SP3 updated + up to date drivers

    Idle cpu temps: 34

so any feedback or advice would be appreciated especially with voltages. thanks
