Intel has released a new range of processors called xeon. They come in core 2 duo and core quad. Quieter and more energy efficient.

The Xeon has been around for years, so it's not at all new. Additionally, the quad cores were released about a year ago, starting with the Kentsfield-based 3200 series.

Xeons are not Core 2 brands. While they are based on the same current technology as Intel's desktop CPU's, they usually feature larger caches and SMP capabilities.

I'm not sure where you've got your information, but you need to do a lot of reading.

Also, this post smells of some site pimping, so you had better watch it in the future.
