Could someone please link me to a page that lists power consumption percentages per piece of hardware. Here is my goal. I need a small case so I purchased Antecs Minuet II (low profile) with a 220watt psu. The following are the things I will be running in the case:

    1 Lite-On Cd Burner
1 Seagate Sata or Pata harddrive
1 Gig of PC3200 RAM in dual channel
    AN Intel cpu
    AN Intel micro ATX motherboard
ONboard Graphics, or low profile, low end Nvidia Card

My question is this. Can I use an intel 915G base with 220 watt Antec. This will only be used for programming, matlab, office, gentoo linux type stuff. No gaming or heavy media usage.

Oh yeah. I will be ordering the parts from newegg. What is the highest power consuming Intel CPU/Mobo combo that can run comfortably in the Antec Minuet II 220watt. I mean if I have to get a pre 915G combo i will. The prob is Intel has discontinued so much of their Northwood line of products and the mobos that support. An 865G cost more than a 915G and I thiink there is only one of those things left.

Probably not. Antec is a pretty good company, but that PSU has it's limits. If you want an Intel-based system to run on that PSU, you're probably going to be looking at a Pentium 3.

Now, I'm not saying it won't run, but given what you're wanting to have, the odds aren't in your favor.

Yea, it is doubtful that it would work, and even if it did you fould be running the PSU at full load constantly. I recommend you get a 300 W PSU.
