Chances are, his HDD is still good if it's been cooled properly to this point. FAT32 is a really old filesystem, the one 98/ME use by default. It has nothing to do with the HDD. What I'm saying is that FAT32 degrades quickly over time, and so he needs to reformat his HDD, and reinstall everything from scratch.01bolandn said:So he should back up his important info and buy a new hd?
