    AMD 3500+ or 3700+

Should i get an AMD 3500+ 2.2ghz, 512 mb L2, venice core or the Amd 3700+ 2.2 ghz, 1mb L2, san diego core. There is a about a $60 dollar difference and i was wondering if the extra L2 cache is worth it.

    the age old question-which one?
if your board allows definately the 3700+ becuase of its larger cache
(if your willing to pay $60 extra)

Assuming you're not buying other components as well the 3700 will be a bit better, once overclocked. Cache will make a very minimal difference as in all Athlons. Unless you want to do some very serious overclocking the 3500 and a nice new cooler will give you all the speed you need. The 3700 is barely faster when both chips are at stock speeds.
