    System specs are;

    AMD 4400 x 2
    BFG geforce 7800GT
    DFI lanparty nf4 sli motherboard
    Hiper 580 w psu
    NEC 4550 dvd
    Samsung spinpoint 250 gb hdd
    GeIL 1gb value ram (2gb corsair xms pc4000 arriving tomorrow)
    Vapochill xeII case / cooling

    Had proble with vapochill and think its a faulty compressor but that is the least of my problems.
    When i started it up 2 days ago there were blocks and randoms letters all over the screen (some flashing), so i checked the gfx card was seated correctly and checked its power connector was still connected, it started with no artifcats and got a blue screen saying PAGE_FAULT_IN_NONE_PAGE_AREA so went into bios and returned everything to default and ran chkdsk /r and it solved the issue (temporarily), started computer yesterday first it would not start (because of vopchill compressor), but when i finally got it started there were again all these artifcats all over the screen, tried just one stick of RAM and it worked - brilliant - or so i thought...... started it today with same stick of ram and againall the blocks and letters were all over the screen, got into windows and then the screen just went black (all other components still runnig), restarted comp and now when windows is loading up the display just goes black - hope i dont need a new gfx card as i have already had 2 mobos, 2 cases, 2 psus and 2 lots of ram and the comp is only 8 weeks old:swear: ! Please, Please help me!

    Looks like hardware failure alright. I'd say it's either a problem with your northbridge or your video card. Can you test your card in another working system?

    BFG has lifetime warranties if I'm not mistaken.
    Just RMA your card

    i wanted the 512 mb 7800 GTX but nowhere have them in stock - they have to be pre-ordered everywhere?! So am thinking of getting a 256 7800 gtx and getting another at a leter date and hooking them up in the SLI conifuration?! Would this give ok benchmark scores compared to a single 512 mb card?
