I'm finally getting rid of my old laptop. However, I'm not sure if it's worth actually selling as its specs are severely outdated and it has a few other hardware issues as well (loud fan, poor battery, one of the keys on the keyboard is missing). Obviously I could sledgehammer it, but I was just wondering if there was any market for low-spec laptops. Do people collect them? Are there charities that give them to children in Africa?
One man's crap is another man's treasure. Depending on the make and the model (and how old it is) someone might want it and perhaps even be willing to buy it.... I would recommend to start by looking on eBay to see if anything like it is already being sold. Then there is always United Kingdom (UK) Freecycle Groups' Homepage and failing that - the local charity shop....
