I thought F.E.A.R was supposed to have graphics better than doom 3, i mean i had it on all the highest settings and could run it perfectly, the graphics dont look better than doom 3 :s, have i got right one, i was a demo i downloaded of this website, it was about 650mb.

I ran it at 1024 medium-low settings and it beat the hell out of doom III
 
i was running at my max monitor reseloution, 1280*1024
all the texture preferences was at maximum.

I saw it on my friends computer and it looked quite a bit better than D3, he had things cranked up as far as his monitor would allow but I doubt he had AA or AF on. Still looked ace. I really don't know what to tell you other than to compare you're experience with screenshots, get someone here to take one, or wait for the real game.
 
i have everyhting on total max settings and 1280*1024 res, i was getting 50 fps, then 60fps in parts, then 150fps in parts, but when i went round corners, it froze all the time, and did it even more when there was other people in the room, so whats wrong here?
 
i get the same thing when i round a couple of corners, maybe its just a flaw with the demo, i run mine all max except aa and af they are medium get around 100-200 fps give or take 1080*1024
 
i get this freezing around corners in DOOM 3 and F,E,A,R , i had AA on max aswell when i was getting 150fps, but i dont understand why if my graphics card cant handle it, i just dont get why it just doesent go at low fps instead of really d=fast fps and freezing all the time.

also i dont know why, but the graphics in F.E.A.R looked crap on things like poles, it was like GTA SA, like not smooth lines, all bumpy zig zaggy sort of thing.
 
I ve also noticed on certain pieces of the enviroment the graphics look a little jagged, but maybe they dumbed down the graphics to keep teh file size smaller like in age of empires III demo.
 
well i found it first from ign and then when i was looking for AoE III demo i found it at nvidia, they have a lot of good game demos there i suggest you guys check it out
 
Dont like demos, its either the full game, or nothing, i always play the full game of somthing, i never play demos, they are not good.
 
90% of the time if the demo isn't fun the game won't be either, if you have a fast connection it's a worthwhile practice. Beats blowing £25 on a sucky game.
