Hi guys, I was just wandering if this gfx card is actually any good... its an Nvidia GeForce 7300 gs, check it out:

    http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/PROD/3-/1021342/BFG_3D_Fuzion_PCI_Express_256MB_7300GS_Graphics_Card/Product.html

Also, is this ATI gfx card (link below) any good in comparison to the above nvidia? and What is the Nvidia equivalent of this ATI card??

    http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/-/303/388/-/958878/ATI_Radeon_9600PROADV_256MB_Sapphire_AGP_Card/Product.html?searchtype=genre

Is the above ATI card better than the Nvidia GeForce 6600 256mb agp 8x???

Currently NVidia dont have anything to rival the middle of the range AGP Radeon X1600 PRO. The natural NVidia equivelant would be the 7600GS. But you cant get in the UK, maybe it isnt released here? You can get it in the US though.

Aslo the best places to shop in the UK in my opinion are

    http://www.overclockers.co.uk/]Overclockers & Ebuyer.

Would you reccomend the ATI Radeon X1600PRO 256MB Sapphire as a graphics card?? Is it better than the Nvidia GeForce 6600 256 mb??
The Reason I ask this is because I am on a little bit of a tight budget and I managed to find the ATI Radeon X1600PRO 256MB Sapphire for only £109.99 which exceeds my budget by a fraction (£10). Is this ATI card worth it to buy (price wise included) or is there a better card I can buy for a very similar price?????

The X1600 Pro is the best card for its price you can afford.

On this page ATI_AGP_Graphics_Cards You can get these card for cheaper:

HIS Excalibur ATI Radeon X1600 Pro ICEQ 512MB DDR2 TV-Out/DVI (AGP) - Retail £99.82 This one has a dual slot cooler on it, which means it will probally be more quiet.

    Sapphire X1600 Pro 256MB DDR2 AVIVO TV-Out/DVI (AGP) £88.07 or the 512MB version for £92.77

I cant recommend it personally since I have never owned one but from what I have read about it and what I can see price Vs performance wise, the AGP X1600 is the best card in its class. The only thing faster than the X1600 PRO is X1600XT ;)

The X1600Pro is about the same as a GeForce 6600/6600GT. The X1600XT is faster than that. ATi doesn't have anything right now that's able to compete with the newer mid-range 7600GT. The 7600GS is closer in performance to the 6600/6600GT. Confused yet? ;)

ATi's comparable card to the 7300's would be the X1300 Radeons.

LOL, why Oh why must you confuse me lol :p... ok, so the ATI x1600 is the equivalent on Nvidias GeForce 6600??? If so, I already have a 6600 and buying that ATI would just waste my cahs flow..
umm, any suggestions for a mid range high end cards??? maybe a 7600??

I've heard good things about the 7600GTs, they seem to perform well.
