Its Safe to turn Off your Computer

When I shut down my computer it shuts down all the way to the screen that says Its Safe To Turn Off Your Computer. Then I have to push the power button to turn off the power. On my other two computers I just shut down and it does not display that screen it just automaticly turns all off.
How can I change this on that computer, I like to click Shut Down and then just walk away.

Hi have you got windows XP installed if you have then you will need to install SP2 if you have not already done so.
Would help if you put what windows it is you are running. :good:

I am running windows xp home sp 2 with all the updates

Hi again
CLICK start and then control panel.
In control panel, click on Performance and maintainance and then click Power OPTIONS.
Click the APM tab.
Check to select the Enable Advanced Power Management Support Check box, and then click OK.

hOPEFULLY THAT SHOULD SORT YOU PROBLEM OUT.
