Something odd happened today that I remember happpening a long while back. The last time I reinstalled the program and all was well but it's a pain and I don't want to have to import all those songs again. What happened was today I popped in a burned audio cd and imported. Apparently from tracks 7-16 there was some serious data curruption that messed things up. Importing track 7 froze everything up and when I rebooted and got 8-16 on I found out they were too unplayable-no sound at all. A little bit later when I went to play a track everything completely froze up and I rebooted again. I tried to open iTunes and repeatidly got the same error message: "The iTunes Music Library file cannot be read because it does not appear to be a valid library file." This makes no sense to me and I checked and all the music files are still there. My longwinded speech comes down to this question: Is there a way to fix this, or if I do need to reinstall iTunes is there a way to keep all those itunes music files around? Thanks for your time.
I heard there were some issues with iTunes 7. Now, wether Apple has remedied this, I don't know (I assume, but that means nothing). I'd reinstall it and see what comes up.
This was actually an old like version 5.1 or something but I'll just reinstall anyway, no biggie.:good:
