Something odd happened today that I remember happpening a long while back. The last time I reinstalled the program and all was well but it's a pain and I don't want to have to import all those songs again.
What happened was today I popped in a burned audio cd and imported. Apparently from tracks 7-16 there was some serious data curruption that messed things up. Importing track 7 froze everything up and when I rebooted and got 8-16 on I found out they were too unplayable-no sound at all. A little bit later when I went to play a track everything completely froze up and I rebooted again. I tried to open iTunes and repeatidly got the same error message: "The iTunes Music Library file cannot be read because it does not appear to be a valid library file."
This makes no sense to me and I checked and all the music files are still there. My longwinded speech comes down to this question: Is there a way to fix this, or if I do need to reinstall iTunes is there a way to keep all those itunes music files around? Thanks for your time.

I heard there were some issues with iTunes 7. Now, wether Apple has remedied this, I don't know (I assume, but that means nothing). I'd reinstall it and see what comes up.
