I dont know wat that drive is but I think it could be a virtual drive created by some kind of software like Partition Magic.......I dont know exactly how to remove it but I've got an idea and may b this could help u... Just put ur windows CD into ur drive... Press enter for new installation and when it asks for chosing a drive, delete "J" drive then..

    I'm confused.

Is this a hard drive/partition or a DVD drive?
Are you using a CD emulator?

if you were using a CD emulator (like Virtual CD) and you uninstalled it, it can somtimes leave a Virtual CD on your system, it wont do any harm if you can igrore it, to remove it, install the CD emulation software and remove the Virtual CD then uninstall

Alcohol 120% creates a virtual drive by default. You can drag .ISO files into it and run them as if they were actually on CD.

To remove the virtual drive, you will need to browse the AlcoholSoft settings. There is an option to disable the virtual drive in there
