jetway v600dap probs

    Hi there to all on this forum pleased to meet all of you

    ok my question is :- i have a jetway v600 dap motherboard i have 2 x 512mb ddr 400 in it when i add a 256mb ddr400 to it it wont start at all i clear the bios and away it goes but after i shut it down or try to restart it wont fire clear the bios away it goes any ideas? many thanks

    The first thing i'd do is check with Jetway and make sure the RAM is compatible and we'll go from there.

    the ram works fine if you take out 1 stick of the other ram it just doesnt work all together unless i clear the cmos every time i start or reboot

    What's the specs of this system? Include the power supply as well.

    have you tried a different ram slot? Also does the problem only occur when you add the extra 256mb, having tested the 256mb by its self only?

    yes tested the ram slots they all work fine the 256mb memory works fine too just when the 3 sticks of memory are in together it doesnt boot unless you clear the cmos then they will all work untill u have to reboot again then the prob arises again
