Well, definately check 'em out, you'd like 'em. I never gave them a chance because I didn't care much for Joe's solo stuff, but that was a mistake. I love it! It's a pitty Joe's no longer with us, but the last albums he released in his life were with the Mescaleros. As it turns out, they were some of his best work.

They were actually on the independant label "Hellcat Records" so the videos are low-budget, but you can get a feel for their style.
 
Hmmm..not too shabby. I'm listening to "Redemtion Song". If I'm not mistaken, Bob Marley was the first to do that song, correct? Strummer's version is pretty good, it seems! Nice guitar sound.

Yeah, it's a classic Marley cover. The album that song was from, Streetcore, was not finished when Strummer died. A lot of his vocal parts in that album were scratch tracks, but they cleaned the whole thing up and released it anyway. It's a surprisingly good album though.
