Hi, i'm new here. My name is Josh and my tech level is pretty pitiful..

I recently bought a new PSU/GPU/Case and moved the guts of my HP P7-1141 into its new home. This has not come without difficulties... first my MOBO is poorly labeled and I had a hard time figuring out which pins controlled what on my f panel... Then my GPU wasn't working properly... Now, when I was trying to hook my ps3 controller up, windows started telling me that my usb device was malfunctioning and it could not read it.

I googled the problem and found someone with a similar issue and saw an intel rep telling them to go into device manager and delete everything under usb, then restart with all usb devices unplugged. I tried this and ended up deleting my mouse usb before i could finish(ideally i would have done this last, obviously, but it wasn't labeled) so i had to hold the power button down to shut my machine off. on boot up i regained control of my keyboard, and momentarily my mouse, but then suddenly couldn't and still cannot control my mouse. i've tried every usb port there is on my comp but i cannot control my mouse, though it is getting power.

I was able to get back into device manager because i could still control my keyboard and saw that everything i deleted did come back. when i was connecting my mouse i saw it say usb mouse for a moment then it switched to motioninjoy virtual mouse. I do use motionjoy to be able to use my console controller to play video games.

This issue has become something i can't ignore... help me regain control of my mouse please!

You deleted your mouse drivers, Is the computer running fine even if the mouse driver isn't ? Start the computer in safe mode, then see if your mouse comes back.
What brand is keyboard & mouse ?
