well, its suppose to keep your software (XP) up to date, but in reality it replaces older buggy software with newer (even more buggy) software, in theory update is a good idea, but not with MS software

How can Microsoft even check if you have wga installed? How will they know who has it and who doesn't?
I haven't had windows update since i installed windows. i never use it, or its crappy firewall. Windows already comes with tons of crap i don't need it downloading more crap while i'm away.
