CIO: "We've found that migrating our Linux servers to Windows will cost 6x more in the long run, we'll have serious periods of downtime, they will require 4-8x the amount of support staff, and will experience a 250% loss in performance -- not to mention security! But everyone else is running it, so it must be a smart decision."

    Me: "WTF, are you serious?"

CIO: "Um, I dunno, am I serious?" *Turns to consultant*

Consultant: "Yes. I don't understand UNIX, er, I mean Windows is the de facto standard in the industry."

CIO: "There, you see? De facto! Standard! Industry! All in one sentence!"

Me: "Can I please see that sharp, pointy letter-opener for a minute?"

    Consultant: *Backs away nervously*

Me: "Goodby, cruel world." *Commits seppuku with letter opener*

CIO: "I guess this means his vacation slot has opened up."
