Hi all and happy holidays to ya. I have a question that is really grating on me. I bought a Gig of Kingston Hyper x Ultra Low Latency ram because it was advertised at 2-2-2-5 timings, but when I select by SPD in BIOS setup it sets it at 2.5-4-4-7. I thought SPD is a chip on the memory module with the factory timings programed in it. So shouldn't it be as advertised? Or does the rest of my hardware have an affect on this.

your bios has preset defaults. Set the correct timings in your BIOS.
