i've tried the obvious, and can't find it in man pages or docs, so can someone pwease tell me what it is, kubuntu root pasword ? Edit: cos i need root pw to update
Look here (K)ubuntu have bastardised the traditional root system. So you will need to follow the guide above to change it back to the proper way of doing things
thankys anyway, but sorted it, although windows that pop up require a different pw to the pw entered in konsole, which ist't a problem, cos if one doesn't work i'll try the other
