Well to start this is seperate from my friends thread which was based on a frozen desktop. Now, whenever I leave my computer alone for about 1 hour with out any attention then come back it repays me by lagging a ridiculous amount.
My cpu usage % sky rockets from 4% to 99%. I dont have much to go on and dont know much on how the processes tab works but all of my image names say that they are using 0 cpu except for System Idle process which reads 94-99(jumping through that amount). Which im not exactly sure what that means, but it's all I have. Any help is appreciated. My solution for now is just to resart my computer and never leave it unoccupied for long.

    thx

The system idle process it not actually a process at all. All it does is represent the amount of free resources you have. For example, if it says 86% CPU time, that means your processor is only working about 14%

What do I think the problem is? Lol, welcome to the Windows world. It's a Windows problem.... Sorry, I am Microsoft-Bashing again :) But actually some of what i've said is true.

Your system might be swapping data from RAM into virtual memory

Do you have Anti-virus installed? It may be scanning in the background?

    Check for Spyware

I dont think it was anything to do with my antivirus. So lets say that my system is "swapping RAM for virtual memory" how do I fix this problem?
