Laptop help

    Hi, my friends laptop just died basically yesterday, he said that the keyboard stopped working and then it turned off and now wont turn back on, any ideas of what might have happened?

    U mean nothing happens..... not even fan spins??? If thats the case then I think that PSU is dead...

    yeh its just like a paper weights, my guess was that the psu was gone, but i have no idea how that could of happened, as it sits on his desk with nothing next to it. should he even bother to get it repaired or just buy a pc? im guesing that it'll cost a lot to repair basically cause its a laptop

    Was he using AC power or running it off battery power?

    All I know is that its a brand called aries, 1gb ram, 3ghz cpu, its huge, and yeh he was running it off the AC power supply
