    Hi!

    So, the story..
Yesterday night I accidentally spilled some lemonade onto my laptops keyboard. I quickly unplugged everything and started drying it up..

When I booted it up again I instantly noticed the keyboard not working properly ( no big deal, it was pretty abused anyway ). When I pressed a key it would type 2-3 letters at time, usually letter(s) that were right next to the actual letter pressed.
I knew there must be some lemonade left under the keyboard.. which now didn't function at all. So once again, unplugged everything, removed the keyboard and dried up everything.

Ok, so booted it up again, everything seemed to be normal now, except there was no keyboard anymore.

After about half an hour I heard this weird voice.. at first it was this "thinking noise" some older/oldish computers usually do. Then it changed to more constant noise, almost like some container which was under pressure were leaking.. Then went back to "thinking noise".
There was also this voice of something "turning off" for a second (usually the voice only comes on turning it on / shutting down )

I once again, unplugged everything and left it like that over night.

Now, there is no more "thinking" or any other sound I can hear, except the voice of something turning off and on again. From time to time (Seemingly getting less frequent)

But the problem I'm here about.. there are some random failures and hangs in hardware. They are getting less frequent, luckily. But it is still pretty bad.

Usually it hangs, and then gives me a blue screen or just restarts. Once there was "Windows has to shut down (because of remote procedure calling service has stopped), please save your progress." and countdown with it.
Sometimes it just freezes.. at first the freezing was real bad, but now it's actually getting pretty much back to normal.

Although it looks like it might come to solution by itself.. I don't want to leave it to chance.

I think there might be some lemonade/sugar left on some connection somewhere. But.. I don't really know where I should look.

The CPU is in the other end of where the lemonade was. RAM is also hidden away behind motherboard. Graphics card seems to function normally. Everything seems to be working normally.

It also happens in Safe and VGA mode.

Luckily though.. it is getting much better with time. 1h ago I could hardly get past desktop. But now, 1h and about 5 crashes later.. I have written this post, and even chatted in MSN while doing it.

unfortunately the sugar in the lemonade causes things like a K/B keys to "stick", i would say your only option is to replace the K/B with an ebay bought one or if you can find another replacement that would be great

BTW: i once went out to a K/B with coffee spilt on it, and they looked as if i was daft when i asked if there was any sugar in the coffee

Thanks for your reply. But the keyboard isn't the real problem. I already found a new one to buy.

The problem is/was that computer started to give blue screens/rebooting.. At first it didn't even start up.
Now it looks like everything is working again though, no crashes in about 4 hours (before I got about 5 in 1 hour).. :)

I'm still worrying if there is any permanent damage to hardware though.
