I have a toshiba satellite pro A10. It has started to shut down unexpectedly. When trying to install windows, it gets to the part where it asked what HDD I want to install on, and sometimes a bit further on, and then the system switches itself off. I can however leave it running in the BIOS forever and a day, with no issues at all. I have got a couple of Boot CDs with diagnostics on them, and when I run the diagnostic software the same things happen. I suspect an overheating issue, but wondered if anything else could be the cause. I have iupdated the BIOS, and everything seems to be detected OK, and a test using seagate tools on the HDD comes up as OK.
