    Please help:

I am preparing to buy a laptop and need help as to what to get in it. I am going to be playing DVD's on it and my daughter will be playing THE SIMS on it. That requires a Pentium 4 or better processor and a T&L capable video card such as ATI Radeon 8500 or better, NVIDIA or Intel Express Graphics 82865 or better. What would you suggest:

PROCESSOR: An Intel Core Duo, Intel Core 2 Duo, Pentium M or AMD Turion 64 X2.

VIDEO CARD: An ATI Radeon 8500, NVIDIA, or an Intel GMA 950 graphics card (is the GMA 950 comparable to the Radeon or NVIDIA?)

Any other suggestions that I should consider would be greatly appreciated, as this is the first laptop I have ever bought.

My expected budget is between $800 and $1000.

    Thanks,

    HDSjr55
