How do you ensure that you end up with a monitor with no dead or stuck pixels? Are there online retailers that will take the monitor back if it has dead or stuck pixels? Are there any physical retailers that will allow you to test a display for dead or stuck pixels before buying? How do you avoid this issue?

I think retailers tend to see 1 or 2 dead pixles are aceptable but if the pixles are in the middle of the screen they would exchange it.

I have bought LCDs from eBay where some sellers are willing to send them out after a pixel check, don't though if they still do though.

run the lcd panel for about 2 hours with gaming than watch a film consisting of high explotions and flashings if somewhere on the screen remains slower or moveless (black) than you can say it's time to change the panel ( about 3 pixels are not accepted but more is ok to change )
