My friend was excited about some software she recently bought. Apparently she got Dragon Naturally Speaking for her home business. She was able to browse the internet with this program. So she showed me how to say, “Switch To ‘Internet Explorer’” and “New Window.” She told me she had to train her voice to recognize the words, so she doesn’t have to type or use her mouse anymore. She said she hadn’t had Dragon for very long, but she mentioned the more she used it, the more second nature it was for her to use it.
Do you guys recommend this speaking software or know of any other software similar to this?

I once used IBM viavoice which works like Dragon, but I can't give it any recommendations as I use mouse and keyboard only.

Version 9 has the better update on recognizing a person's voice. AS my friend was showing the software to me, it was cool to see how Dragon caught on to her dictation quickly.
To this day, she still uses it on a daily basis.
