I'm haveing an issue with printing a color image in Black.. I called Lexmark and they say that in order for me to print up a color image in black and white i would need a color ink cartridge..
(lexmark X6170)-printers need ink cartridge in order to print color images in black?

Definately a colour ink cartrige is required to print colored papers....

Hmmm, I won't be buying a Lexmark printer any time soon then.
No seriously though, you don't have to use Lexmark's stupid control panel. Just right click your printer in the Printers and Faxes control panel and choose properties. I am not sure exactly where the location of the colour control settings are, but there should be an option to print 'greyscale'.
