I have a few problems with Ubuntu,
the 1st being that it will not work with my graphic card (Nvidia FX5200 with TV Out)
the 2nd problem is that i can't get NTFS to mount
and the 3rd is that i can't seem to play mp3s
...more issues will be posted soon (Hope Not)

Install automatix2. You can install Nvidia drivers, NTFS support and audio codecs with ease.

To get mp3 and other codec support, simply install the "ubuntu-restricted" package.

The nVidia TV-Out socket does work in Ubuntu but needs to be configured first. Check the Ubuntu-Forums because I've seen numorous tutorials on there for this

Check the ubuntu-forums for an NTFS tutorial as well. I know there are tons on there

to make life easier with *ubuntu, you could just throw Automatix at it, it's made my life easier, then when you know *ubuntu better you can stop using it

it allows you to install stuff very easily including an auto mounter for FAT32 / NTFS partitions & audio and video players and codecs

Edit: or say with the hard way

well, to resolve dependency problems i use
    Code:
    sudo apt-get -f install
if you look, it does give you that command when it warns you about the unmet dependencies

BTW: the unofficial Ubuntu user guide is here
