I have been helping out friend that has a music studio. I offered to help build a cd burning tower to get production rolling.

My thoughts are: He has a suitable case that I could use if i upgrade the power supply. I would like to upgrade the mother board also ( very old ). Also I planned on using a PCI SATA card with RAID on it, for the optical drives.

My question lies on the SATA card and how and will a burning program recgonize them as one drive? What tweaks or configurations may I have to apply for the drives to be reconginized as one. Any suggested configurations or specific hardware would be helpful.

I also considered the idea of a pre-made duplicator tower. For me this will be a learning expirence. Also the PC can backup as a storage as well.

    Thanks in advance!!

Interesting, pre-made duplicator would be ideal if money is no question?

PCI card will see individual devices, I think its the software that decides how to use them. I'm guessing it would have a option to multi-burn or you can just open up multiple instances of the application?

Money is not the issue, the PC will also act as storage. Plus I'm bent on the idea of rebuilding a machine lol, in all honesty. Thanks for your reply.
