Logitech Z-5500 Digital THX

Still havent received em, I should get em today hopefully. UPS had originally scheduled the delivery for the 17th, Monday but they changed it earlier today to Tuesday the 18th. Ill have to see when I get em. Theyre only a few hours away
 
really nice speakers, but why spend that mount on them? for £200 ($300-$450) you could buy yourself a set of Really nice speakers, and for the price you could get connections so that they can plug into the computer as well..

I still havent mounted the front speakers yet. I just got em on Monday and Ive been enjoying them like crazy. This weekend I should have some time to mount the fronts.

They are incredibly nice speakers, and i take back what i said about buying a good set of normal speakers.. i didn't realise they came with wall mounts.

I believe i'm going to have to eat my own words and buy some :good:

hey guys. Yes, I have a job. No, I dont pay for my stuff.

My job is a business I created for myself and its run by myself. I am my own boss and it is great. I created a business for mobile car detailing and washing. Its called CDE, Car Detailing Experts. My website shows you all the details(no pun intended) about my job. I made close to 3 grand with about 40 hours of work so about 75 bucks an hour. Its an incredibly casual job thats lots of fun to do. I plan on hiring some friends for this upcoming summer to have them work for me. I will be the manager and will appoint them jobs. They go out and do the details and I earn anywhere from 35-50% of the money just for arranging the detail/wash and supplying them with the supplies that they need(car wash soap, wax, window cleaning solution, etc).

Anyways, enough with that job crap....the speakers dont distort a single bit no matter what I throw at them. They are crisp and clear and loud as hell. They kick the Z-5300's shins while running laps around them and chewing bubble gum at the same time. One third of the volume level on the 5500s is about equal to 75% of the 5300s volume. I have yet to turn it up more than about 40% as Im too afraid to be blown out of my house.

$85 for an SUV/Truck? bit cheap for alot of labour isnt it?
 
I love my car. Its a great car, its give me zero problems.

Cheap yes. Why? Whos gonna want a detail from a 16, soon 17, year old teenager who charges 100+? 85 bucks for 1-1.5 hours of work isnt bad if you ask me. Especially since my parents pay for my supplies, its all profit for me:)
 
Well well done i suppose, i personally would save a certain percentage of whatever you make every month, as it will come in handy later on in life :good:
 
Hi there i have the same speakers but am not as impressed with the volume.

Wonder if you could post some levels like master soundcard volume and mixer volumes, be a great help to me :)

my master is at about 70% and each individual mixer level at 50% and for music playback (through direct analogue and through coax digital ) i can stand the external decoder volume on full, although that is extremely loud. DTS movies are quite a bit louder through the coax, but im concerned there might be a fau;lt with the amplifier.

I emailed logitech and their support staff sugested that if the same low levels through analogue were there from other sources then the speakers might need returning. But that was before i had the chance to test music through the coax, which is the same sort of volume.

Any sugestions would be much appreciated.
