Hello all. This is my first post. I am looking to upgrade some of my old hardware. This is what I have:

    MSI K9N6PGM2-V2 (MS-7309) NVIDIA Chipset
    4GB DDR2 ram
    NVIDIA GeForce 460SE Graphic card
    AMD Phenom X4 9750 CPU

OK. This is what I want to upgrade. Obviously the motherboard. It is very old and out dated. Also, I would like DDR3 ram (preferably 8GB or more) with maybe a new graphic card. Not sure about that yet. I don't do alot of gaming, but I do a lot of multitasking. I currently have two monitors but would like to add a third for my Web Development classes I am taking. I don't need a third, I just want one. You understand...

I am willing to pay around $150-$180 for ram, $200 for graphic card, and $100 - $130 for the mobo. That's a rough budget. Any help would be extremely appreciated.

    Thanks for reading guys!!

For 16 GB RAM your budget is OK, for 8 GB way too much. 2*4 GB or 2*8 GB DDR3-1866 or DDR3-2133 is fine. Manufacturer doesn't matter.

Radeon HD 7850 2GB is good choice.

CPU AMD FX-8320 and some 970 or 990FX chipset motherboard goes to budget.
