I'm searching for a cooler which will fit into a media center case. Case: Antec NSK2400 MATX I may go with a Core 2 Duo CPU or an AMD Athlon 64 (939 or even X2). I'm mainly looking for a 939 cooler, as the 3700+ San Diego is only £50 on ebuyer when OEM. Preferably, the cooler should be very quiet. We don't want a huge whir of sound coming out of the unit in the living room.
Look for a 1U cooler. You should be able to use any cooler for a Socket 940, 939, or 754 as the retention bracket is the same in most cases.
