low fps/refresh rate on Desktop

Hi community,

when being on Windows Desktop my mouse pointer looks like he has a really low refresh rate, it moves very unprecisely.
System:
os - Windows 7
board - MSI K9A Platinum
tft - AU4813D
gra- ATI5770
mouse - MX518

I switched the mouse to my Notebook and the movement is precise and refreshrate seems fine.
My guess is that its a monitor problem but i have no other to compare.

Any advice?
 
What if you tried to connect your monitor to your laptop and testing the mouse from there again. That way you could see if it was the monitor or something else on your desktop machine. If the notebook shows it as being fine but at the same time the monitor shows the error while they are connected, it would definitely point to it as the monitor. If, however it is fine when the monitor is connected to your laptop, that means it has to be something with your desktop pc/os.
