hello, today my machine working very strange, with heavy applications it gives pauses in between. even when i try to play GAMES, voice is breaking in between every 3-4 seconds and game window pausing for 1 sec continiously. what could be problem? hardware or windows??? please help
Welcome to HWF. Ok first things first, anything been changed recently or is this out of the blue? (Hardware & Software), if so try disabling/removing it temporarily. Next check all the fans in your computer - most importantly the CPU & Graphics cards fans are spinning freely (they get clogged with the general detritus of life slowly over time), do you have any utilities to monitor the temperature's of your computer? If not you'll be able to view them in the bios (hit del or sometimes f2 or f8 just as the computer starts to get to the bios. Next check on the fragmentation of your hard drives, google this if this is a new concept to you. then you'll also want to check your C drive for errors (scandisk) Next check the smart status of your hard drives, if this is new to you also you can use speedfan (check my sig for the link) Let us know how you get on!
