Press 'CTRL+ESC' then kill anything to do with adept. I think you have probably abused Kubuntu too much Nothing wrong with that though because it's all part of the learning process. I killed openSUSE about 3 times in two months when I was starting out :devil:
killed adept_updater, nothing else to do with adept there although i do abuse my OS, i havn't had chance to abuse this fresh install of kubuntu, i only clean installed it yesterday to a blank HDD rebooting now, so back soon BTW thankies
rebooted, adept still has error, did CTRL+Esc and killed adept_updater again, ran adept "Read Only mode: Database Locked" what now ? BTW: ksysguard has nothing to do with adept in it <tw4t> Edit: also tried to install from CL "sudo apt-get install alien" returned problems, so ran "dpkg --configure -a" was told to look at --help i'm stuck, help Edit: can't install anything (except wine & WT, using FF through wine, system usable but only through wine) don't know what's wrong, help
wierd, problem with adept disapeared as wierdly as it started, i don't know how or why, but it's sorted, i think it must have been the equivalent of a windows brain fart, wierd
