Hi everyone, Hoping someone can clear this up for me. I understnad that common processors are quadpumped so for example an advertised CPU with a FSB speed of 1333 is actually 4 'paths' each runnign at a speed of 333MHz. My question relates to matching RAM to the FSB of the CPU. For example, we have just bought a server that has a Xeon X5672 CPU and PC3-10600R (DDR3-1333) RAM. When attempting to match RAM and CPU, should the advertised CPU FSB and RAM speed match? I get confused with this as I also understand that the RAM is quadpumped. Any information on how to properly match these two components would be greatly appreciated. Thanks Alistair
