Hi there! Does anyone knows why the following error occurs in the boot process of my machine. Error: The copied MBA ROM failed a signature check. <Paused, Press a key to continue>
i presume your using XP SP2, are you ? BTW: i don't know what causes it, but someone else may if they know your OS BTW: i'll try to find out though
Hi again, I'm using Windows 2k pro + sp4. I've been told it's something related to the network card. Managed Boot Agent utility or something similar. If it helps, my NIC is 3COM EtherLink 10/100 PCI TX (3C905B-TX).
i'm thinking that your system is trying to get verification from a server but it cant find the server, old NICs had a small jumper on them to enable something like "boot from network ROM" which actually booted a system from the network via the ROM chip on the NIC, is there any software for the NIC or is the BIOS trying to boot you system from the network card, check the boot priority & look for anything saying authentication or verification BTW: i just needed a bit of thinking time
