hi folks! used to use motherboard monitor 5 particularly for monitoring max-min temps; how accurate it was i don't know but...what is there now?
any freeware stuff i have not heard of? or can i pay?
always handy at the end of a gaming session for seeing how wild the temp range has been...
    any hints appreciated...

Speedfan, Hardware sensors monitor and for identifying your hardware there's PCWizard

they weren't very reliable as temp monitors in fact i used to advise anyone to install at least 3 heat monitors & assume the average of the 3 reading is correct, but i'm not sure if their accurate now[ot]i've being using Linux exclusively for a few year now[/ot]

thanx for the input. i have just tried the one i've never heard of! hmonitor? but no sign of ability to show maximum/minimum temperatures for a session. in fact nvidia gives me much the same thing.
is speedfan any good for this? i always thougtht it too complicated...and fan control is not what i'm looking for. basically, when i come out of a gaming session its already too late to consult other programs 'cos everything cools down so quickly. hardware i/d i don't need.
