In the future when i do upgrade to new memory, would i need to get the exact same model or could i run two 512 dimms of one brand and two 512 dimms of another brand, also do they need to be the same speed or could i use ddr400 with ddr500

also off topic but my mem which is supposed to run 1t command rate runs only 2t what do i need to do to change it.

You can pop in most any brand and speed so long as you're mobo supports it. That is to say you can't use DDR2 on an AMD motherboard for instance. You can mix speeds but the result isn't worth it, the ram will all default to the slowest speed for stabiliy purposes so buying faster ram is a waste of money for the most part.
Some ram just refuses to run at T1, it's usually value or low quality ram that just isn't designed for that sort of settings:( You can try to tweak it in the bios however.

Make sure the voltage matches your motherboard.
