I bought kingston memory for my dell and after about three weeks later I get the blue screen. I have 1 stick of kingston 512mb pc2700. Can somebody tell me if I have to use memory from dell or is there another brand that will work with my model. Or is there something else wrong. Please help if you can.

    Thank You

Try running [google]memtest86[/google] to see if your stick's faulty.

The old ram works fine. The blue screen will happen when the computer is at idle and it has only happen 3 times in 2 months. The ram is kingston value ram pc2700 512mb. I do not have the exact model number with me. The computer is at work. Should I buy a different brand or buy the memory from dell.
