it is far far easier to replace your existing RAM than it is to upgrade and match new RAM to your existing RAM, so, if you can afford it replace your RAM with new higher capacity RAM basically TCL = CAS Latency Time RASx to CASx Delay Trcd DRAM RASx Precharge = Trp Tras = Precharge delay you can either look in the BIOS or you can download, install & use a utility like PCWizard or Everest both utilities are free & if for some reason one util doesn't work the other will both utils look at the RAM you have installed in your system & tell you what RAM you have now all you do is buy new RAM to match your existing RAM the speed of the RAM is fairly unimportant, but, the RAM can only operate at the speed of the slowest speed of RAM installed (Bs RAM speed cheat sheet) BTW: thank you everyone who has helped me, i do appreciate it and thank you to Z_ROCK & B for their post that this thread has urls to Edit: usually websites don't give out all the info necessary to successfully upgrade RAM, however, PC-Memory-Upgrade.co.uk does DISCLAIMER: I DO NOT RECOMMEND PC-Memory-Upgrade BECAUSE I'VE NEVER BOUGHT ANYTHING FROM THEM
