Microsoft wants to help aid in the development of Firefox. It sounds pretty scary, doesn't it? If you're still here, let me tell you that it's not as bad as it seems. Sam Ramjii, Director of Microsoft's Open Source Software Lab, has extended an invitation to the Firefox and Thunderbird developers asking them if they'd like to visit the company's open source research center. Microsoft's hopes are that, in a four-day span, the company can provide the open source developers with enough information to get the popular web browser running smoothly on Windows Vista

MS is really planning on inviting them there and then they're going to trap them in a glass box and record their activities for weeks. That'll provide entertainment and get rid of FF for those MS lovers.

    *shifty eyes*

Why they would do that is questionable, they've spent money on developing IE7, only to invite FF developers to help improve Firefox support in Vista so their direct open source competitor will run smoothly on the new OS. That is unless they intend to leverage the userbase of Firefox to help gain more Vista users.

i'm with you here, but I think it's going to be slightly different. Seriously I saw this in a film, its true! ;)

    1. FF developers are lured into the building with small change and free high end hardware.
    2. Contrary to the glass box theory, they're actually going to be allowed to move freely inside the building, but they will not be allowed out. Based on previous MS behaviour, they will most likely use stun guns to herd them away from exits.
    3. They will then watch them coding, and actively developing Firefox to find out their secret to success and how they can use it to make IE better.
    4. They kill all the developers with ricin loaded pellet guns.

Give or take a few minor details.
