    Which motherboard?

    DDR and DDR2 are physically and electrically incompatible, so you cannot use them in the same slot. Should a motherboard offer support for both, you can only run one or the other at the same time.

    the memory thats in there now is 184-Pin DDR 333 (PC 2700)

    i got 2x512MB on rite now just trying to upgrade to 2gb... this is my fuck around computer and it is sllllooooooowwwwwwwwwwww just trying to get it a little quicker.
