I've got videos on my Canon zr80. I just need a program that will capture video from it, it's firewire. Movie Maker worked in XP, but I'm rinning 2kPro now. Any suggestions?

ok seriously I need a program now! Windows movie maker won't install on 2k. Only XP. I need something to capture video off my camcorder and some mild editing.

    There's something called google ninja.

Also, there will be drivers for your camcorder/camera on the manufacturers site, download them & software if available - then worry about graphic editing.

They don't have drivers, and googling for software tends to lead to purchasing or software that seems to hate me. Just wondering if anyone has used anything they would recommend that's free. :(

Umm depends what type of editting your doing, but virtual dub is good for cutting out frames and stuff. It does alot of stuff tho so i guess you could try it.
