i just bought an Intel Pentium 4 630 processor and i was woundering what would be a good mobo to put it into. i was looking for somthing that uses ddr 400(because i have a gig of it already) supports 64 bit and is under 150 bucks

Do you want to use a PCI-E or AGP video card?

I'm about to replace my video card so it does not really matter if it AGP or PCI-E

Given your requirements, you're going to have to go with a motherboard sporting the i945 or i955X chipset. These require DDR2, which is incompatible with DDR based on voltages and memory module pin-outs.

Given that's been established, to get in your price-point, you'll need to look at i945P motherboards, like the Asus P5LD2.

Now, if 64-bit support isn't something you must have, then you might be able to get away with an i915P-based motherboard, as the i915P natively supports DDR and DDR2. Asus and Gigabyte both make motherboards supporting both memory types.

Ok thanks alot. So basically if I want 64-bit support I am going to have to use DDR2? And do you think I really need 64-bit support?
