For the past week or so when i try to wake up my computer the monitor wont come back on, i can here all the fans start back up and everything else seems to be booting up fine, but im guessing the video card isnt booting. Now i can restart the computer and it all comes back up fine. And as of now ATI customer support is closed for the week so i cant call them. If you guys have any ideas as to whats up i would greatly appreciate it.
im saying when the computer goes to sleep(or stand by mode) after not being in use, it doesnt come back on when you hit a button on the key board, so i have to restart it. And when you restart the computer it everything comes back on fine.
I did a google search and came up with a post that was talking about this problem, but was completely unhelpful. It did say that there were problems posted all over this forum. Dell Forum The solution in one was: "Try setting the power schemes to always on and set to turn off monitor to never as well. ", which I assume to mean the power settings/management in control panel. Hopefully that's your problem or else your problem is on the board somewhere. Use the search feature on the bottom and search for something like "sleep mode".
